2022 Community Connector School of the Year - A&M Consolidated Tigers

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is proud to announce the A&M Consolidated Tigers as the recipient of the Community Connection School of the Year Award presented by Optimum.
For the fourth consecutive year, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Optimum, the local provider of internet, mobile, TV, and phone services, have partnered together to spotlight 15 Texas high school football communities with the Community Connection School of the Week Award. As a part of the recognition, longtime A&M Consolidated Principal, Gwen Elder, was recognized for her service to the A&M Consolidated community on a special Zoom call and was honored with the Community Connector Award presented by Optimum. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Optimum also produced a commemorative digital custom magazine spotlighting the A&M Consolidated community.
“At Optimum, we put an emphasis on connectivity because we know how important it is to connect our customers to the people, entertainment and information they want,” said Curt Allison, Market Engagement Manager at Optimum. “Optimum is proud to work with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football to provide this opportunity for communities to rally together, and we congratulate the A&M Consolidated Tigers on their award.”
For the past seven weeks, fans and passionate community members from all 15 towns cast over 300,000 votes on TexasFootball.com in an effort to help lift their school to the top. As a part of the recognition, A&M Consolidated High School will receive a $2,500 donation to support their school.

The Dave Campbell's Texas Football Community Connector School program presented by Optimum celebrates influential figures who stay connected in their community year-round.
15 schools will be spotlighted and a Community Connector Award recipient from each school will be celebrated for their hard work and support to their local community.
Thanks to the support of Optimum, each recipient will receive a commemorative football and a $1,000 donation will be made to the program in their name. At the end of the season, all 15 communities will rally the vote on TexasFootball.com to help name their school the Community Connection School of the Year and recipient of the $2,500 grand prize.

Friday night is just different here. It’s more than just a football game. More than just a bunch of young men scoring touchdowns and making tackles. Friday night is about connecting with your friends, your neighbors and your community in the most authentic ways possible.
Suddenlink in partnership with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football believes in great connectivity and supporting each community it serves and that’s why they’re presenting the Dave Campbell’s Community Connector School Program presented by Suddenlink.
At the end of the season, communities will rally to vote for the Community Connection School of the Year Award powered by Suddenlink. Voting will start Dec. 6 and end Jan. 21, 2022. Stay tuned for more information!
