Joseph served as Executive Vice President of the Texas High School Coaches Association from 1992-2003 after a coaching career that included stops at Victoria, McGuinness (Okla.), Corpus Christi Carroll and Wharton (1968-1981), compiling an 18-year record of 138-54-6. Joseph was inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor in 1983.
