Dick Todd scored 664 points in four years at Crowell, getting 318 points in his senior year, 1934, alone. As a 160-pound halfback he made everyone’s all-state team, the first player from a Class B team ever to do so. He also starred in track and basketball. Todd went on to win all-conference and All-American honors at Texas A&M, the played professional football with the Washinton Redskins for 10 years. Last year Crowell renamed their stadium Dick Todd Field.
