Texas A&M bolstered the interior of its offensive line with the transfer addition of Koli Faaiu from Utah. The 6-3, 324-pound junior played in 11 games last year for the Utes, starting the last eight at the center position. He appeared in five games in 2022. Faaiu was a three-star recruit from Washington as a prep player.
The Aggies need better offensive line play in 2024 after losing starting quarterbacks to injury in each of the last three seasons. Faaiu could solidify the center position, especially if Bryce Foster isn’t 100 percent. He can also help at guard, if needed. Trey Zuhn is the starter at left tackle while players like Chase Bisontis, Kam Dewberry, and transfer Ar’maj Reed-Adams compete for the two starting spots at guard. The right tackle position is a battle between Dametrious Crownover and Reuben Fatheree II.
Texas A&M played its spring game on April 20. Mike Elko debuts as the head coach in Week 1 at home against Notre Dame.
