Austin Westlake 2023 OL TJ Shanahan (6'4, 325) just committed to Texas A&M over offers from Texas, Georgia, LSU and USC.
Shanahan is rated as the No. 17 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100, checking in as the No. 2 OG.
Last week DCTF's Mike Craven watched Shanahan versus Converse Judson and filed this report:
"Shanahan headlines one of the toughest offensive lines in Texas. He plays at left tackle for the Chaparrals, but he probably projects to guard at the next level. He's physical in the run game and mobile as a pass protector. He's at his best when he gets to go downhill and bully defensive linemen, which he did for most of the win over Judson. The four-star holds nearly 40 offers with Texas A&M perceived as the leader in front of Georgia and LSU."
