They Call Him Wildman

South Oak Cliff 2024 ATH Jamyri "Wildman" Cauley (6'3, 205) is one of the most impressive physical specimens you will find. 

He has offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Penn State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, Toledo and UTSA. 

In SOC's 23-14 win over Liberty Hill in the 5A Division II state championship game, he made the play of the game when he hauled in a 27-yard touchdown in the corner of the endzone. 

"I know what I could do," Cauley said. "I am just playing the game of football. No one can guard me and it's easy. I got good coaches, good staff around me. There is a lot of us. It's easy."

Why do they call him 'Wildman?'

"The crazy story is that I was born down in Dallas, but I was raised in the country, so I am just a country boy. I don't wear shirts, no shoes," a shirtless Cauley said after the state title win (he also noted that he kept his cleats on).  

"I'm just country. It's a country feeling."

Cauley had a breakout sophomore season at receiver, hauling in 885 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. 

But the scary thing is...he may not even be playing his most natural position. 

"I play defense," Cauley said. "I can play defensive end, middle linebacker, and safety. I think I like defense more. They just needed me at wide receiver this year and wanted me to try new things. I am going to play both sides next year." 

Aggies Add DCTF's No. 1 Prospect to Loaded Class

DCTF Rising Coverboy -- Galena Park North Shore CB Denver Harris (6'1, 175) -- announced his commitment to Texas A&M. 

"I just went with A&M," Harris said. "I liked it. They liked me."

Harris signed to the Aggies over offers from Texas, Alabama and LSU. He informed the media following North Shore's 17-10 win over Duncanville in the 6A Division I state title game.  

"I never thought about college football or nothing," Harris answered when asked if his decision-making was a distraction. "I just came out here and execute and focused on the main goal."

The DCTF five-star is rated as the No. 1 prospect in the DCTF Hot 100 (No. 1 CB). 

The House that Greathouse Built

Since 2023 WR Jaden Greathouse (6'2, 205) stepped onto the field at Austin Westlake, the Chaparrals have won three state titles, and he keeps getting better and better. 

In tonight's 40-21 win over Denton, Guyer Greathouse hauled in seven receptions for 236 yards and three touchdowns to earn Offensive MVP honors. 

"It is all thanks to my teammates," Greathouse said. "We are all out there at four in the morning putting in the work, and it is all thanks to them and the coaches putting the trust in me."

Westlake five-star quarterback Cade Klubnik was happy to see his teammate take home the honor. 

"I'm just so proud of him," Klubnik said. "Jaden has always been one of my best buddies, since I started playing the game. To finish out my high school career like this, I couldn't have drawn it up better, but especially because of Jaden."

Greathouse will have the rare chance at being a four-time state champion. But with three in the bag, is AT&T Stadium the house that Greathouse built?

"I wouldn't say that, but y'all can say whatever you want," Greathouse said jokingly. 

The DCTF four-star has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Miami (FL), Oklahoma, Penn State and Texas.
