The college football season is creeping towards 90 days away with Sam Houston kicking off the FBS season in Texas against Western Kentucky in Week 0. The other 12 FBS programs in the Lone Star State begin their march in Week 1, headlined by Texas at Ohio State and Auburn vs. Baylor.

ESPN released its post-spring SP+ for all 136 programs in the country. Preseason SP+ rankings are based on three factors – returning production, recent recruiting, and recent history. Think of it as a power ranking that attempts to predict how many wins each team in the country will win in 2025.
