Spring DeKaney 2028 RB Christopher Chizer Jr. (5'8, 160) is quickly making a name for himself.

On Sunday, the freshman speedster took home RB MVP honors at the Under Armour Next Camp in Houston, held at Planet Ford Stadium — the same turf DeKaney defends on Friday nights.

Just two days after dominating the camp, Chizer received a scholarship offer from Texas A&M — a familiar destination for DeKaney talent. In fact, his game resembles former DeKaney standout Trey Williams, who starred for the Aggies before heading to the NFL.

Like Williams, Chizer is a dynamic and electric presence out of the backfield. His track speed — 10.30 in the 100 meters — makes him a threat to score every time he touches the ball. That speed and playmaking ability have already drawn offers from Tulsa, Tulane and UTSA, with programs like Baylor, SMU, Oklahoma and Tennessee monitoring closely.

After speaking with Chizer at the camp, it was clear he’s done his homework. He knows exactly what Trey Williams meant to DeKaney — and what it meant for him to take his talents to Texas A&M.

Chizer hopes to carve out a similar path — leading DeKaney back to AT&T Stadium for a shot at a state title and maybe even landing in the SEC.
