Euless Trinity 2027 CB John Meredith III (6'2, 175) continues to prove why he’s one of the nation’s top prospects. After a standout performance at the Under Armour Next Camp in Dallas, he secured an invitation to the prestigious Under Armour Next All-America Game.

His dominance hasn’t gone unnoticed. On3.com recently named Meredith the No. 1 prospect in Texas in 2027, further cementing his place among the country’s elite.

"It feels good," Meredith said at the UA Camp. "I just put in the work, and hard work pays off. The invite is like the success I get out of it."

Meredith prides himself on his relentless work ethic. "I feel like nobody's outworking me, so when we go to places like this, it shows. The hard work makes me a better player."

College programs have taken notice. He holds offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, and more.

"All of the attention is kind of crazy when you look at it, but I just try to stay humble," he said.

While he isn’t naming favorites yet, one in-state program will remain in the mix.

"Texas offered me when I had like five offers, and it was a real big school," Meredith said. "The coach was serious with it when he offered us, so I'm real interested. That's gonna be in my top five for sure."

On the field, Meredith models his game after Sauce Gardner and Jalen Ramsey, bringing the same confidence and swagger.

"They are crazy with it, and they talk trash, just like me," he said.

Meredith earned 4-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors in 2024.
