The Elite 11 Camp in Austin made one thing clear—change is coming to Houston, led by 2026 ATH Keisean Henderson (6'4, 180). The state's No. 1 prospect and highest-rated commit in program history has the potential to take the Cougars to new heights.
Henderson showcased his elite skill set at the Elite 11 Regional in Austin, earning QB MVP honors and securing a coveted spot in the Elite 11 Finals.
Henderson’s performance at the regional camp highlighted what makes him special. His attention to detail and relentless pursuit of improvement separated him from the competition.
“Just asking questions, being attentive to details. Every rep I got better,” Henderson said. “That really set me apart from everybody else—asking questions, making sure that everything is correct. When we were doing the slide shuffle drill or critical thinking drills, I made sure to get everything right before I did it, then learned from that rep to build on the next.”
For Henderson, committing to Houston was about more than football—it was about loyalty and community.
“Family, loyalty, the city, the people—I can go on and on,” Henderson said. “Just being able to be the forefront of the class and bring in guys that I really want… I feel like my job is to help the program become better, and my job is not done. I’m making sure this is the best class Houston has had in a long time.”
Henderson isn’t just coming to Houston to win games—he wants to define a legacy that lasts long after his playing days.
“After I’m gone, I want the city to be thriving off a great program and a great group of guys around it. I want Houston to be on the map. When people think of Houston, they think of football, not basketball.”
Henderson passed for 1,574 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior in 2024 and was named the Navy All-American Bowl MVP after passing for 148 yards and a score in the annual nationally televised East vs. West matchup.
