Baylor is expected to name Aaron Hunt general manager, sources confirm to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. Hunt joined the Bears staff in 2021 and serves as a recruiting and personnel assistant while in Waco.

Hunt was an All-American and All-Big 12 defensive lineman at Texas Tech, setting the career sack record with 34. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos and played 10 years of professional football. Before he arrived at Baylor, Hunt was the director of 306 Elite Performance Development in his hometown of Denison, Texas.

The Bears also plan to hire Georgia player personnel coordinator Anthony Mauro as assistant general manager. He served as the director of player personnel at Louisiana Tech prior to joining Kirby Smart’s staff.

CBS was first to report.
