In a surprising development out of Dallas ISD on Monday, multiple sources confirmed to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football that the head coaching position at Woodrow Wilson High School has been reposted. This comes after the district last Wednesday announced the hiring of DeSoto assistant coach Paul Beattie.

Rumors began to circulate early Monday that something was amiss after a text from the Woodrow Wilson prinicipal to the Wildcats coaching staff that Beattie would not be present during the off-season workouts.

A meeting was held this afternoon with the coaching staff, campus and district administration confirming that the job was to be reposted and candidates would be contacted to reapply. A letter from DISD was sent out to the community citing Coach Beattie would not be taking the position at Woodrow Wilson citing “a personal family matter.”  This was confirmed to DCTF by Coach Beattie as well.

The timeline cited in the letter indicates a job posting date of March 24, with a decision being made on April 4. With this timeline it seems evident at this stage Woodrow Wilson will not be participating in spring football with the late hire.
