Argyle Liberty Christian 2027 ATH Cooper Witten (6'2, 210) secured an invitation to the Under Armour Next All-America Game after a standout performance at the UA Camp in Dallas in February.

"It's a huge honor to come out here with all these great athletes and get invited to the game," Witten said. "It's been a dream of mine for a long time, and thanks to God for giving me the glory to do it."

A first-team all-state defensive back, Witten put together an elite sophomore season, recording 45 tackles, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), six pass breakups, one sack, one safety, and a blocked punt. He also showcased his versatility, scoring seven receiving touchdowns and adding a kick return touchdown.

Already rated a DCTF four-star prospect and named to the 2027 Five-Star Watchlist, Witten continues to refine his game.

"I've been working on my speed, getting that up, and being able to run with anyone," Witten said. "I'm going to be playing some more linebacker, so really, just getting bigger and stronger and being more versatile."

Witten's older brother, CJ Witten, signed with Rice in the Class of 2025, giving Cooper an inside look at the recruiting process.

"Watching him go through it was pretty cool," Witten said. "He just told me to take as many visits as possible, get out, and see what I like best."

He also happens to be the son of NFL legend Jason Witten, who starred at Tennessee before a Hall of Fame-caliber career with the Dallas Cowboys. Now, Witten is also Cooper’s head coach at Argyle Liberty Christian.

August 24 was a milestone day when Tennessee—his father’s alma mater—officially offered.

"That was very exciting," Witten said. "I've been a huge Tennessee fan with all my family up there. I went on a game-day visit this year, and it was awesome."

A week later, Texas A&M extended an offer, giving him a major in-state option.

"I love them both," Witten said of the Aggies and head coach Mike Elko. "Coach (Jay) Bateman has been recruiting me hard. He came up to the school this year, and I'm going to see a spring practice in April, so I'm excited about that."

This past season, Witten took gameday visits to Tennessee, Texas A&M, TCU and Oklahoma. His offer list includes LSU, Michigan, Oregon, USC, and more—cementing him as one of the top prospects in Texas for 2027.
