Former five-star recruit Micah Hudson is in the transfer portal for the second time since the end of the 2024 season after Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko confirmed the Lake Belton export was not in the team entering spring ball. Hudson played his true freshman season at Texas Tech before joining the Aggies in the winter portal window.
Hudson was the No. 1 recruit in Texas for the 2024 class and was the coverboy on the 2023 Rising edition. He played eight games as a true freshman for the Red Raiders, recording eight catches for 123 yards. He missed spring and summer workouts last season while recovering from an existing injury and never found a way to consistent playing time while in West Texas.
Hudson was one of multiple receivers signed by Texas A&M in the transfer portal with Kevin Concepcion and Mario Craver expected to start alongside super sophomore Terry Bussey, who was the fifth-ranked player in the same recruiting class as Hudson. The Aggies won eight games in Elko’s first year and return Marcel Reed at quarterback.
