Lamar Consolidated ISD named Richmond Randle co-offensive coordinator Stephen Hill as the next head football coach at Fulshear on Tuesday night.

Hill replaces Nick Codutti who departed in early February to take over as head coach at Klein High School.

Hill spent one season at Randle High, where he was part of the Lions 5A-Division II undefeated state championship squad.

Prior to his time at Randle, Hill spent four seasons as the offensive coordinator at Spring Westfield where his offense averaged over 57-points per game in 2021, leading Class 6A for that season.

“I have lived in the Fulshear community for the past 15 years," said Hill, who plans on starting at FHS on Wednesday. "I was here before the housing boom and before we had a high school here. This is where my family laid roots. My oldest daughter graduated from Fulshear, my middle daughter is graduating this year from Fulshear and youngest daughter will be a freshman at Fulshear next year."

He spent 2014-2017 as the head coach at Houston St. Pius X where he posted an impressive 39-9 overall record. Hill spent three seasons as the head coach at Houston Kinkaid from 2010-2012 where he posted a 29-3 overall record. He also spent 2009 as the head coach at Houston Westbury where he led the Huskies to a 7-5 record.

Hill brings collegiate experience to Fulshear where he was an offensive analyst/director of high school relations at Texas State for the 2018 season. He was also an offensive analyst at Rice University in 2013 where he was part of the Owls Conference USA championship team.

He also has stops as an assistant at West Mesquite, Houston Chavez and Brookshire Royal.

The new head coach at Fulshear takes over a team that went 12-1 a year ago, so the Chargers are used to winning.

"Once I get boots on the ground, I want to start meeting the kids and building relationships," Hill said. "We’ve got to figure out which coaches will stay and start building a staff."

As for Richmond Randle, the defending 5A-Division II state champions will have to find themselves a new offensive coordinator with the departure of their two co-offensive coordinators this spring; Brooks Haack took over as head coach at Houston Memorial earlier this offseason.
