Flower Mound 2027 QB Noah Spinks (6-1, 180) had a breakout sophomore season in 2024, throwing for 2,043 yards and 16 touchdowns to earn all-district honors.
Spinks was battle-tested early, getting varsity reps as a freshman after an injury sidelined senior Jake Watson. Called up from the JV squad, he seized his chance, making his first start against Plano Senior and never looking back.
"We're really excited about him," Flower Mound head coach Brian Basil said. "Even as a sophomore, he felt like a veteran because he had already started three games as a freshman."
Basil recalled Spinks’ second varsity game, where he entered early and never left, finishing with over 300 yards and two touchdowns against Plano. "That night proved the moment wasn’t too big for him," Basil said.
Recruiting interest is already building, with Spinks holding offers from UTSA and UIW. His coach believes bigger opportunities are coming. Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Notre Dame, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech and more are showing interest.
"He has a very high ceiling," Basil said.
"He’s got tremendous arm talent, he manages the game extremely well and he's accurate with the football. He’s not just a pocket passer—he can run when needed but thrives at seeing the field and making plays downfield. With the talent we can surround him with, we think he can have a really big year."
