Columbus 2025 RB Grayson Rigdon (5'11, 185) has re-opened his recruitment following a decommitment from Wyoming.
Rigdon initially signed with the Cowboys but is now exploring other options after Wyoming’s running backs coach and director of recruiting, Gordie Haug, took a position at North Dakota.
"Whoever wants a gritty RB/Slot," Rigdon said, reaffirming interest from schools like "Cal, Arizona, Vanderbilt, and North Carolina."
Rigdon also confirmed that Wyoming was still in the mix as well.
Rigdon, the three-time Six-Man Player of the Year, helped Columbus capture the 3A Division I state title this season, scoring four touchdowns in the championship game.
His TXHSFB resume includes leading Benjamin to back-to-back state championships and setting a state record with 21 career touchdowns in title games. Rigdon is also a four-time state championship game MVP, having earned both offensive and defensive MVP honors as a freshman at Strawn.
In his senior year, Rigdon adjusted seamlessly to 11-man football, rushing for 2,071 yards and 39 touchdowns, earning a DCTF three-star prospect ranking.
