Since our last major update on National Signing Day in December, significant recruiting moves have been shaking up all classes, impacting Texas high school football programs and in-state colleges.

Prospect on the Rise

2025 ATH Cade Spradling (6'2, 200) - Smithson Valley: The new DCTF three-star opened eyes at the state title game at QB and his future likely lies on defense, where his frame and sharp football IQ stand out. He now boasts FBS offers from Army, Rice and UTSA.

Commit of the Week

2026 DB Yaheim Riley (6'0, 180) - Austin LBJ: This versatile defensive back committed to Houston over offers from Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Stanford, Utah and more. Riley is not yet rated.

Underclassman of the Week

2026 ATH Jermaine Bishop (5'11, 155) - Willis: The four-star named a top eight of Florida, Houston, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

News and Notes

2025 OL Connor Carty (6'4, 290) - Prosper: The one-time Texas A&M commit did not sign with the Aggies and quickly found a fit at Texas Tech, giving the Red Raiders one of the highest-rated recruits in the 2025 class.

2025 WR Gracen Harris (5'10, 170) - Ennis: The longtime Oklahoma commit did not sign with the Sooners, but tapped into his longstanding relationship

2025 QB Landyn Locke (6'3, 180) - Rockwall: This DCTF three-star QB, ranked No. 10 in the state, is back on the market after being released from his Wisconsin LOI due to a coaching change. His brother, Bradeyn, also left Wisconsin for Arizona. Former Wisconsin OC Phil Longo has offered him at Sam Houston State.

2025 QB Sawyer Anderson (5'11, 180) - Dallas Parish Episcopal: One of the top stat-producing quarterbacks in Texas switched his commitment from Purdue to Arizona after the Boilermakers fired Ryan Walters. Anderson passed for 15,433 yards and 159 touchdowns and won three state titles.
