The Lew's All-American Five-Star

2025 OT Michael Fasusi (6'5, 300) - Lewisville: This athletic five-star left tackle was honored in the pregame with his Under Armour Next All-America Game jersey and then went out and delivered an All-American worthy performance against a talent-packed Denton Guyer D-line. In a heated recruiting showdown, Texas' Steve Sarkisian arrived via helicopter, and Oklahoma's Brent Venables made an appearance, each making a final push to secure his commitment before signing day. He updated his recruitment after the game. - Greg Powers

An Athlete on the Lewisville D-Line

2026 DT Xavier Fleming (6'1, 185): Lewisville defeated Denton Guyer 27-17, largely due to its dominant defensive front that pressured Oklahoma QB commit Kevin Sperry, forcing three turnovers. Fleming set the tone with a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown, showcasing surprising speed for a big man. Later, he saw offensive reps, impressing with his versatility despite not touching the ball. He holds offers from North Texas, UTSA and Wake Forest but is a noted riser. More offers should be coming soon. - Greg Powers

Sachse Offense Evolves Through Workhorse Runner

2025 RB Brendon Haygood (5'10, 180) - Sachse: The Boise State commit had another strong night as he helped the Mustangs clinch the 9-6A district title Thursday night with a 30-7 win over Naaman Forest. The DCTF three-star followed up his school record 380-yard performance in Week 9 with 169 yards and a touchdown on just 18 carries; he displayed elite vision and tremendous lateral quickness to make defenders miss in short spaces. - Matt Stepp

QB Catches Stepp's Eye in Loss

2025 QB DeAngelo Perales (6'1, 190) - Garland Naaman Forest: Perales, who holds offers from Mississippi Valley State and Grambling, is a mobile playmaker who keeps plays alive with his feet while consistently keeping his eyes downfield. He's a coach's kid and makes excellent decisions while displaying good touch on the deep ball. - Matt Stepp

Wranglers ATH Plays Leads to District Crown Win

2025 ATH Greg Gipson (6'1, 180) - West Mesquite: Gipson, who holds multiple FCS offers, is seeing his recruitment pick up as of late, and he had a monster night in helping the Wranglers improve to 9-0 on Friday with a 20-13 win over Carrollton Smith. Gipson hauled in an 82-yard touchdown pass, picked off two passes, and blocked a field goal. He's a rangy corner with position versatility in the secondary and elite ball skills. - Matt Stepp
