A Khing at DE in the Class of 2026

2027 DE Khing Thibodeaux (6'3, 230) - Garland Lakeview Centennial: Thibodeaux showed off some of the exceptional first-step quickness that has helped him secure offers from programs like Baylor, Penn State, North Texas, UTSA and more. Early in the game, he had a tone-setting sack that gave the Patriots momentum, and late in the 3rd quarter, he blew past the offensive line to secure a critical stop on 4th and 1 to force a turnover on downs. The Patriots would eventually fall to Garland in overtime, but Thibodeaux left a big mark. - Greg Powers

North Shore’s Unsung Hero Delivers In Rivalry Thriller

2025 WR Cameron Smith (6’2, 200) - Galena Park North Shore: In one of the most loaded offensive groups in Texas, Smith can sometimes fly under the radar. Not anymore. In the closing seconds against rival Atascocita, Smith flashed unbelievable awareness, tipping the ball to himself on a 37-yard catch as he fell to the ground, setting up the game-winning score two plays later. Holding offers from Marshall, Arkansas State and UTEP, Smith has all the tools to shine at the next level. - Gavin Moritz

Allen's Secret Weapon

2025 WR Donnell Gee (6'0, 170) - Allen: The Tulsa commitment is a dynamic, quick-twitch wide receiver with running back skills who consistently impresses at Allen every time we attend a game. Alongside Class of 2025 OL Colter Alberding, they are among the state's most underappreciated players. They each show up and go to work each week. In Allen's 22-7 district championship-clinching victory over Prosper, Gee was the standout offensive star, hauling in 12 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. - Greg Powers

Under the Radar Defender in El Paso

2025 LB Dorian Jaramillo (6'2, 210) - El Paso Pebble Hills: Jaramillio is a rangy linebacker who packs a punch when he arrives to the ball carrier. He's got good instincts and a feel for the game, because he is the son of a coach. He doesn't have elite top-end speed or fluidity, but makes up for it with football IQ and high production over the past three years. He could be an FCS sleeper type. - Matt Stepp

Fisher's Big Week Ends in Dominance

2025 DE Niklas Fisher (6'4, 240) - Cypress Ranch: Fisher was a menace for Cy Ranch, demanding constant double teams and still managing to be disruptive, especially in the run game. Fisher also showed he can be an impact player on special teams with a blocked PAT and a blocked FG. The three-star flipped his commitment from Texas State to Oregon State earlier this week. - Matt Stepp
