This Week in 'Crootin!

Diving into the latest Texas high school football recruiting news with three weekly superlatives: Prospect on the Rise, Commit of the Week, and Underclassman of the Week.

Don't miss our discussion on Texas Football Today, where I break down this notebook in more depth with Greg Tepper and Ashley Pickle.

Prospect on the Rise - Reagan County 2025 ATH Kason Brown

The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder is one of the state's emerging prospects and his play on both sides of the ball at S/WR has been instrumental to the Owls' 6-1 start and has helped bring in offers from Texas State, UTEP, Cornell, New Mexico and Tulsa.

Commit of the Week - Copperas Cove 2025 WR Trishstin Glass

The 6-foot-4, 175-pounder flipped his commitment from Colorado State to Wake Forest. The DCTF three-star is a four-year varsity player with a multi-sport background in basketball and track.

Underclassman of the Week - Southlake Carroll 2026 WR Brock Boyd

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound TCU commitment has developed into one of the state's premiere playmakers, and as a result of his progression, he is the newest four-star prospect in the DCTF recruiting rankings.
