North Forney boasts more talent than it has in recent memory, with multiple FBS-level prospects leading the way.

Under the guidance of head coach Marcus Shavers, the Falcons are off to a strong 3-2 start, highlighted by a thrilling 35-31 victory over cross-town rival Forney last Friday.

The Class of 2026 is loaded with a strong crop of talent which will have college coaches flocking to the school over the next year.

2026 QB Legend Bey (6'0, 185): Bey was electrifying from start to finish, capping off his night with an eight-yard touchdown run to seal the 35-31 win over Forney in their revived cross-town rivalry. He totaled 292 yards and five touchdowns, with 176 yards on the ground. Bey is a constant scoring threat and a dynamic playmaker, especially in the QB run game. He is quick and makes crips cuts which help him evade tacklers in tight spaces. On the recruiting front, he holds over 15 offers, including Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma

2026 CB Ryan Gilbert II (6'1, 175): The Texas A&M commit did a tremendous job limiting the Forney passing attack, and most opponents will try to avoid testing him, but a P4 corner on the other side of the field brings him action. He tracks the ball well, locking onto receivers early and using his physicality to disrupt their routes. His transitions, footwork, and ability to play under control make him effective in one-on-one battles on the island.

2025 CB Gianni Edwards (6'1, 170): The Arizona commit is one-half of one of the top cornerback duos in the state, showcasing solid size and potential. He plays with physicality, embraces contact, and has a natural feel for the position, excelling in field vision and ball tracking. When he strikes, there's noticeable force behind it. His pedigree adds to his high ceiling—he's the son of former Florida State CB Mario Edwards (1995-99) and the brother of former DCTF five-star DE Mario Edwards Jr.

2026 DB Josiah Turner (5'11, 160): Turner is a versatile defensive back who is playing safety for the Falcons but has a cornerback's skillset, so versatility is one of his strengths. He has already secured offers from Texas State and Arizona State. He was named the Special Teams Player of the Week following a win over Forney, which meant something extra for him as he played for the Jackrabbits last season.

2026 WR Elijah Otieno (5'9, 150): One of the surprises on the North Forney roster that caught my eye because he secured ALL FIVE of Bey's pass completions for 118 yards and two scores, including a remarkable reception that bounced off a defender and showcased his hands and concentration. 2027 WR Briceson Thrower (6'3, 1185) and 2027 WR Aayden Minger (5'11, 165) did not get their hands on any receptions but passed the eyeball test and hold early offers.

2026 OL Collis Grigsby (6'4, 260): An athletic OL with some untapped potential, Grigsby did an excellent job of holding his own against a highly regarded Forney front seven. His talents pair well with 2025 OL Charles Bright (6'5, 280), another Falcons prospect who is flying under the radar. We will circle back around to evaluate Grigsby's film in the offseason to see if he lands on the FBS radar.

2027 DL Dazmean Bryant (6'2, 245): This was a tough game in the trenches, and North Forney's entire DL unit got awarded Player of the Week, but this youngster is one prospect that college coaches should know about, and the coaching staffing is very high on his upside. He battled all night long.
