10:30 a.m. - Welcome to the live blog for non-FBS teams across Texas. We're getting set for Week 2, with 26 teams scheduled for action. Two teams already played this week, with West Texas A&M losing 41-13 on the road to No. 5 Colorado School of Mines on Thursday and East Texas Baptist opening its 2024 campaign with a resounding 57-12 win at LaGrange Friday.

There are a few day games this week, beginning with Austin College at Kalamazoo at noon. Angelo State seeks to rebound from a disappointing offensive performance last week against Emporia State at 1 p.m.The Rams are meeting an MIAA opponent on the road for the second consecutive week. UMHB opens the season at NAIA Bethel at 1 p.m. In NJCAA action, Georgia Military visits Tyler at 1 p.m. as the Apaches look to rebound from a tough weather-delayed loss at Dodge City two weeks ago.

I'll be mainly watching these contests tonight: UIW at No. 1 South Dakota State (6 p.m.), Tarleton at Houston Christian (6 p.m.) UTPB at Colorado State-Pueblo (7 p.m.), Hardin-Simmons at Howard Payne (6 p.m.), and Texas Wesleyan at OUAZ (9 p.m.), but will provide updates from around the state as possible.

Sit down, buckle up, and get ready to read my ramblings. My apologies ahead of time.

Noon - It's time to get the action started today. First up is Austin College, which is traveling to Michigan to meet Kalamazoo. I'm interested in how the Kangaroos look in coach Tony Joe White's second season.

12:05 p.m. - The 'Roos starting offensive backfield are all underclassmen. Sophomore Jaylon Talton is the quarterback, and freshman running backs Barrett Hudson (Katy Seven Lakes) and Zyan Stewart (Lancaster). Another freshman, Jacob Brewer (Saginaw), caught Talton's first pass of the game.

12:10 p.m. - A big pass interference penalty on a fourth and four for Austin College gives the 'Roos a first down at Kalamazoo's 11-yard line.

12:12 p.m. - Tony Joe White is only interested in touchdowns today. AC went for it on fourth and two inside the five-yard line but was stopped a half-yard short of a first down—still, a solid offensive drive to open the season.

12:24 p.m. - Kalamazoo 6, Austin College 0  2:04 1st

The Hornets went 97 yards in 16 plays to open the scoring. The 'Roos defense had a couple of opportunities to get off the field, but Kalamazoo made the plays.

12:35 p.m. - Austin College 7, Kalamazoo 6  12:28 2nd

Jaylon Talton connects with Jacob Brewer on a heads-up play after a Kalamazoo defensive lineman jumped offside. Talton found a streaking Brewer for a 26-yard TD pass. Credit the 'Roos defense for giving the offense good field position after forcing a three-and-out.

12:56 p.m. - Angelo State at Emporia, UMHB at Bethel, and Georgia Military at Tyler are soon to kickoff as we approach 1 p.m. I don't have a video feed for Angelo on the MIAA Network, but I do have feeds for UMHB and Tyler.

1:04 p.m. - Kalamazoo 13, Austin College 7  1:44 2nd

A poor punt set the Hornets up at midfield, and Kalamazoo quickly took advantage. The Hornets rely on their passing attack, with 172 yards passing on 28 attempts in the first half.

1:10 p.m. - The Cru defense stiffened inside their territory and forced Bethel to turn the ball over on downs after tremendous pursuit from Johnny Smith-Rider.

1:12 pm. - Kalamazoo 20, Austin College 7  0:47 2nd

The Hornets squibbed the kickoff into the lineman and recovered the ball. Kalamazoo also benefitted from a defensive pass interference penalty before connecting on a 57-yard touchdown pass.

1:37 p.m. - Bethel 7, UMHB 3  8:23 2nd

The Cru offense got into a good rhythm for the first time today, but a fumble by the Cru was returned by Bethel 70 yards for a touchdown. Coaches love to talk about seeing what a team does when faced with adversity. Here's a good test for UMHB.

1:39 p.m. - Georgia Military 7, Tyler 3  10:49 2nd

The Apache offense is off to a slow start against the Bulldogs after struggling against Dodge City two weeks ago.

1:41 p.m. - Tyler 10, Georgia Military 7  10:19 2nd

Tyler needs only 30 seconds of game time to tell me to shut up.

1:45 p.m. - Angelo State 6, Emporia 0  0:50 1st

The Ram's offense is rushing the ball effectively but continues to struggle in the passing game. The result is an offense that stalled near the red zone in the last two possessions, leading to field goal attempts.

1:48 p.m. - Bethel 10, UMHB 3  2:57 2nd

That wasn't the response to adversity Larry Harmon wanted to see from his offense. The Wildcats intercepted a poorly thrown pass. The good news for the Cru is the defense responded well to that adversity and held Bethel to a field goal.

1:56 p.m. - Kalamazoo 23, Austin College 10  6:11 3rd

A false start penalty on third and one from the Hornets' six-yard line and a sack on the ensuing play forced the Kangaroos to settle for a field goal.

2:02 p.m. - Bethel 10, UMHB 3 Halftime

The Cru defense has held the Wildcats to 86 total yards in the first half, including 68 yards rushing. However, the same issues that plagued the Cru offense last year are back for another season. UMHB is moving the ball, as evidenced by 160 total yards, but three turnovers have the Cru down at the half. Isaac Phe struggled with his accuracy in the first half.

2:38 p.m. - Angelo State 9, Emporia 7 Halftime

The Rams have three field goals in three trips inside the red zone in the first half. ASU is averaging 5.4 yards per rush, but the passing game is struggling. The Rams have completed 4 of 18 pass attempts. The defense has forced three turnovers today, but penalties, especially unsportsmanlike penalties, have been an issue (6 penalties for 80 yards).

2:41 - UMHB 10, Bethel 10  9:06 3rd

The Cru offense easily moves down the field, and Christopher Gacayan II grabs a ball intended for the running back for a touchdown reception. Phe's accuracy remains a concern, as that pass was underthrown by a few yards.

2:52 p.m. - Kalamazoo 26, Austin College 20  0:48 4th

The Kangaroos cash in on a touchdown after a 41-yard pass from Talton to Tony Penson put AC at the Kalamazoo three-yard line. Still hope but need to convert the onside kick.

2:53 p.m. - Kalamazoo 26, Austin College 20 Final

The Hornets recovered the onside kick. The Kangaroos can take many positives from this game ahead of their meeting at home against Rhodes next week.

2:59 p.m. - UMHB 10, Bethel 10  13:42 4th

Te'Ron Brown forces and recovers a fumble to keep the Wildcats out of the end zone. UMHB has the ball deep in its own territory. This is a key drive for the offense.

3:02 p.m. - The Cru offense with a three-and-out, and a tired defense is headed back onto the field at its 28-yard line. This defense has kept the team in the contest multiple times today, and they need another big stand here.

3:05 p.m. - Bethel 13, UMHB 10  10:47 4th

The Cru defense holds again, forcing the Wildcats to settle for a field goal. Who is the leader of the offense that will step up and lead this team to victory?

3:07 p.m. - Georgia Military 28, Tyler 10  1:46 3rd

An 83-yard interception return for a touchdown has the Apaches staring at an 0-2 start to the season.

3:15 p.m. - Bethel 20, UMHB 10  6:27 4th

A 26-yard touchdown run up the middle of an exhausted Cru defense leaves UMHB facing its fourth consecutive loss in non-conference games.

3:30 p.m. - Angelo State 12, Emporia 7  5:20 3rd

The Rams have four trips to the red zone and four field goals. We're getting to the point that this might be the ASU offense this year.

3:36 p.m. - Bethel 20, UMHB 10 Final

It will be an uncomfortable week in Belton. UMHB appeared to be the more talented team. However, five turnovers, including four interceptions, proved costly. I've chronicled enough today about Phe's accuracy issues, but the offense's struggles aren't solely on the junior quarterback. He was under constant pressure as the Crusader's offensive line struggled to provide him enough time on multiple occasions. These next two weeks are crucial for the UMHB 2024 season. A "get right" game against Westgate Christian is next, followed by a trip to DIII powerhouse Wisconsin-Whitewater.

3:42 p.m. - Emporia 14, Angelo State 12 End 3rd

The Rams have been the better team today, but ASU's red zone struggles have the team needing to rally in the final quarter.

3:58 p.m. - Georgia Military 35, Tyler 10 Final

The Apaches are 0-2 and head coach Tanner Jacobson and staff need to get their issues fixed quickly. The road for Tyler doesn't get easier next week with Trinity Valley visiting. The Cardinals will be rested with their last game coming against UIndy in Week 0.

4:10 p.m. - Emporia 14, Angelo State 12  4:13 p.m.

The Hornets miss a field goal to give the Rams the ball at its 20-yard line. The offense hasn't moved the ball as consistently in the second half and needs a big drive here.

4:33 p.m. - Emporia 17, Angelo State 12 Final

The Rams get to the Hornets 34-yard line with nine seconds remaining but were unable to move any further. ASU has a solid defense which will keep the team in most games this season. However, the Rams are going to need much more out of the offense if they wish to compete with teams like UTPB this year. The defense will be tested next week when ASU opens Lone Star Conference action at home against the flexbone attack of Kelley Lee and Eastern New Mexico.

With that, the afternoon games have come to a conclusion. I'll be back at 6 p.m. for the night games.

6:00 p.m. - Welcome back! The following games will soon begin: Texas Southern at Rice, UIW at No. 1 South Dakota State, No. 20 Tarleton at Houston Christian, Prairie View A&M at Northwestern State, Missippi Valley State at Lamar, Hardin-Simmons at Howard Payne, and Coffeyville at Cisco.

6:08 p.m. - HPU 0, HSU 0  10:07 1st

Former Wichita Falls Coyote Zy Gravitt is starting QB for HPU tonight. The Yellow Jackets had a solid opening drive but missed a 37-yard FG attempt.

6:15 p.m. - HSU 7, HPU 0  6:15 1st

West Texas A&M transfer QB Kyle Brown finds junior wide receiver Justin Moore from Boerne for a 21-yard TD and the early lead. The Cowboys offensive line was dominating on that drive.

6:18 p.m. - HSU 7, HPU 6  5:34 1st

Jackson Meller fights through contact to catch a pass from Gravitt for a 74-yard TD. The PAT was blocked.

6:30 p.m. - HSU 14, HPU 6  13:41 2nd

The Cowboys offense is straight rolling tonight. Coach Jesse Burleson was very confident in his media interviews heading into this season, and I can see why. The defense might be the weak link at this moment, and that's scary.

6:40 p.m. - UIW 3, SDSU 0  1:24 1st

Cardinals sophomore defensive back D'Arius Carmouche from South Grand Prairie is ejected following confirmation of a targeting call. This will be a difficult game for both defenses.

6:43 p.m. - Tarleton 7, HCU 0  13:28 2nd

The Texans get on the board first with a 21-yard TD run by Derrel Kelley III.

6:47 p.m. - Tarleton 14, HCU 0  12:32 2nd

Waco La Vega product Donta Stuart gives the Texans the ball back with an interception and Daniel Greek finds Cody Jackson (Richmond Foster HS) for a 24-yard TD.

6:58 p.m. - Tarleton 14, HCU 7  9:49 2nd

Nice answer from the Huskies offense as TCU transfer Champ Dozier scores on a 3-yard TD run.

7:06 p.m. - SDSU 10, UIW 3  11:11 2nd

The Jackrabbits score on a 41-yard TD pass. The Cardinals are in danger of letting this game get away from them if they don't their emotions under control. Too many senseless penalties tonight.

7:08 p.m. - UTPB 7, CSU-Pueblo 0  13:27 1st

The Falcons house their first play on offense with a beautifully executed play-action pass from Dylan Graham to Jeremiah Cooley for the 66-yard score.

7:11 p.m. - HSU 24, HPU 6 Halftime

This is a solid Yellow Jackets team and that makes what the Cowboys are doing to them tonight more impressive. HSU has 235 yards of offense in the first half.

7:13 p.m. - UTPB 9, CSU 6  13:12 1st

The Thunderwolves take advantage of an aggressive UTPB defense for a quick answer. However, the Falcons block the PAT and returned the ball for two points.

7:21 p.m. - UIW 10, SDSU 10  6:51 2nd

That was a tremendous answer by the Cardinals offense, who tied the game with a methodical drive down the field. The two-time reigning national champions have been put on notice.

7:22 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 13, UTPB 9  8:11 1st

The Falcons face adversity for the first time this season. An ill-advised pass from Dylan Graham was intercepted and the Thunderwolves used a long return to set the offense up for the go-ahead TD. Let's see how UTPB's offense responds.

7:25 p.m. - Tarleton 21, HCU 7 Halftime

The Texans rushing attack gashed the Huskies defense for 169 yards in the first half. Tarleton QB Daniel Greek hasn't been impressive but he's taking care of the ball, which is the main focus for coach Todd Whitten.

7:30 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 20, UTPB 9 6:57 1st

That was not the response Kris McCullough wanted to see from his QB after Graham throws his second INT, this time a pick-6 to put the Falcons behind the eight-ball early.

7:34 p.m. - SDSU 17, UIW 10 3:32 2nd

The champs respond with a TD drive.

7:34 p.m. - No. 10 Western Colorado 14, MSU 10 0:16 1st

The Mustangs are hanging with the Mountaineers despite an early turnover that WCU cashed into points.

7:48 p.m. - SDSU 17, UIW 10 Halftime

The Cardinals can't convert a fourth and one and needed an interception to keep the Jackrabbits from adding to their lead before the break. UIW's offensive line has kept Zach Calzada mostly clean in the first half. The Cardinals have proven they belong on the same field with the defending champs.

7:52 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 26, UTPB 9 14:44 2nd

The Thunderwolves have the defending LSC champions reeling. The Falcons have not played well in any phase tonight.

8:00 p.m. - It's time to give a score update for other games I haven't been discussing yet.

Rice 38, Texas Southern 0 Halftime

PVAMU 20, Northwestern St 14 Halftime

Lamar 21, MVSU 7 Halftime

SFA 17, UNT 14 2:12 2nd

ACU 14, West Georgia 3 9:26 2nd

TLU 21, Trinity 7 1:52 2nd

WBU 21, North American 0 2:54 2nd

8:07 p.m. - HSU 38, HPU 6 13:09 4th

The Cowboys are polishing off a nice season-opening road win.

8:09 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 9 5:11 2nd

"I thought UTPB would put up more of a fight." - said the CSU-Pueblo announcer after the Thunderwolves add a FG.

8:12 p.m. - UIW 17, SDSU 17 13:11 3rd

Hawaii transfer Jalen Walthall (Manvell HS) is one fast man. He took a pass from Calzada 69 yards for a TD to pull the Cardinals even with the Jackrabbits.

8:23 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 9 Suspended 2:57 2nd

The game has been suspended for lightning with the Falcons driving in CSUP territory.

8:27 p.m. - SDSU 24, UIW 17 7:13 3rd

It's time for the Cardinals offense to respond.

8:33 p.m. - MSU 24, No. 10 Western Colo. 21 Halftime

The Mountaineers have focused on stopping the Mustangs rushing attack, which has opened room for MSU's QB to find receivers. MSU QB Sean Jastrab is shining in his first career start for the Mustangs, and has completed 18 of 25 passes for 244 yards and a TD in the first half.

8:38 p.m. - SDSU 31, UIW 17 3:30 3rd

UIW's offense did not respond and the Jackrabbits took advantage with another TD drive to put the Cardinals in a difficult position. These are the moments we see a team's character on the road.

8:39 p.m. - HSU 38, HPU 6 Final

The Cowboys open the season and American Southwest Conference action with a resounding win over the Yellow Jackets. HSU have put the ASC on notice today.

8:44 p.m. - I'm turning some attention to a couple other games. The games I'm streaming right now are SFA at UNT, MVSU at Lamar, SDSU at UIW, Tarleton at HCU, and UTPB at CSU-Pueblo.

8:46 p.m. - Lamar 21, MVSU 14 End 3rd

I was not expecting this game to be this close heading into the fourth quarter, but it's part of the process that Peter Rossomando is building with the program. The Cardinals are not accustomed to being the favorite in recent years.

8:49 p.m. - SDSU 31, UIW 24 14:22 4th

Roy Alexander with an incredible catch in the end zone on a beautifully thrown 35-yard pass from Calzada for a TD. The Cardinals still have life. A defensive stand here could build momentum.

8:56 p.m. - SDSU 31, UIW 24 12:00 4th

UIW coach Clint Killough has had multiple issues with the officiating crew tonight. Some of the complaints are valid but I wonder if his temperament is having any effect positive or negative on the sideline.

9:01 p.m. - UNT 28, SFA 17 7:56 3rd

The Mean Green continue to give the Lumberjacks extra opportunities. SFA needs to cash in on the muffed punt, and as I write that they complete a long pass to the UNT 3-yard line.

9:02 p.m. - SDSU 38, UIW 24 10:34 4th

The Cardinals defense couldn't keep the Jackrabbits out of the end zone, and time is quickly becoming an issue in this game.

9:03 p.m. - No. 10 Western Colo. 35, MSU 24 10:06 3rd

The Mountaineers have responded to being down at the half with two quick touchdowns. It's the Mustangs turn to respond to adversity.

9:07 p.m. - SDSU 38, UIW 24 9:26 4th

Welp, that wasn't idea for the Cardinals. A catch and fumble gives the ball back to a Jackrabbits offense that has scored a TD on all three drives in the second half.

9:09 p.m. - UNT 28, SFA 20 6:38 3rd

The 'Jacks got points out of that drive, but a touchdown would've been nice. Still, SFA pulls within one score.

9:11 p.m. - SDSU 45, UIW 24 7:47 4th

Another TD by the Jackrabbits and that one feels like a backbreaker for the Cardinals.

9:12 p.m. - TLU 28, Trinity 13 11:42 4th

This would be the Surprise of the Week if the Bulldogs can hold onto this lead over the Tigers.

9:13 p.m. - Tarleton 35, HCU 18 Final

The Texans pick up a nice road victory and have a week off before opening United Athletic Conference play against North Alabama. Tarleton starting QB Victor Gabalis could return in two weeks but the Texans proved they can win with Daniel Greek under center.

9:20 p.m. - Lamar 21, MVSU 14 1:47 4th

It's not every day you see that many flags on the field at one time. The officials are sorting it out after a flag was thrown for possible facemask and a Devils player lost his helmet. Yet, the play continued and more flags were thrown. All that laundry for a facemask and a participating without a helmet penalty on MVSU. That gives the Cardinals a first down inside the 10-yard line.

9:29 p.m. - Lamar 28, Mississippi Valley State 14 Final

Peter Rossomando will have plenty to talk about correcting next week, but he'll feel a bit better to be talking about corrections after a win. It's the first Cardinals win over a DI opponent in their home opener since 2014.

9:33 p.m. - SDSU 45, UIW 24 Final

No loss is ever a good loss, but the Cardinals will take some positives out of this game. This is a game this team needs if they have hopes of contending come playoff time.

9:35 p.m. - Southwestern 24, McMurry 20 4th

I have no idea how much time is left but the Pirates just connected on a long TD pass to retake the lead.

9:38 p.m. - TxWes 14, OUAZ 3 End 1st

Big start for the Rams in a critical Sooner Athletic Conference contest.

9:39 p.m. - TLU 35, Trinity 13 2:32 4th

The losses the Tigers suffered after last season were more than we expected apparently. It's also possible the Bulldogs are much better than we predicted. Either way, it's been an interesting night in DIII football in Texas.

9:44 p.m. - ACU 24, West Ga. 10 12:31 4th

The Wildcats are taking care of business tonight against a UAC opponent who was DII last year. But this was a competitive DII in recent years. Think along the lines of Tarleton before they moved up.

9:48 p.m. - Southwestern 24, McMurry 20 Final

The Pirates defense stops the War Hawks one-yard short of a first down at SU's 15-yard line. Get ready folks, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference is going to be fun this year! Congrats to coach Bill Kriesel on his first career victory as a head coach.

9:52 p.m. - TLU 35, Trinity 20 Final

This result will force me to rethink my preseason predictions. Hey, that sounds like a good topic for Four Downs on Monday.

9:53 p.m. - Wayland Baptist 41, North American 6 Final

The Pioneers earn a win in their Sooner Athletic Conference opener.

10:01 p.m. - PVAMU 37, Northwestern St. 31 Final

It was not pretty and it took a defensive stand inside the one-yard line with no time remaining on the clock, but Bubba McDowell will not apologize for any victory.

10:03 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 9 2:57 2nd

The game is set to resume after a delay of an hour and a half due to inclement weather.

10:08 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 9 1:55 2nd

The Falcons are stopped inches short of a first down at CSUP's three-yard line. Not how UTPB wanted to resume play following the delay.

10:14 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 9 Halftime

The wind is howling in Pueblo after the weather delay and it's coming through the refs mic. Looks cold.

10:17 p.m. - No. 10 Western Colo. 38, MSU 33 Final

The Mustangs gave the Mountaineers one heckuva battle but came up just short. Lots to be happy about and plenty to work on for LSC play.

10:19 p.m. - TxWes 21, OUAZ 10 Halftime

The Rams offense rolls to 276 total yards in the first half, with 231 of those yards coming on nine completions for an incredible 25.7-yard average per reception.

10:20 p.m. - Eastern New Mexico 22, Sul Ross 10 End 3rd

10:24 p.m. - ENMU 22, SRSU 17 14:35 4th

The Lobos have had a good day through the air and are within striking distance of the Greyhounds. The SRSU defense needs to get off the field quick here and not allow the ENMU flexbone to methodically drain the clock.

10:25 p.m. - North Texas 35, SFA 20 Final

It was a good showing by the Lumberjacks, who appear to be much-improved this year. We'll have a better idea next week when the 'Jacks travel to play McNeese in their Southland Conference opener.

10:28 p.m. - No. 18 UC Davis 9, Texas A&M-Commerce 0 Halftime

Lions QB Ron Peace has been solid thus far completing 10 of 15 passes for 131 yards. The problem for the offense tonight is one yard rushing on 15 attempts in the first half. Compared to how the Lions looked last year, this team is greatly improved in Clint Dolezel's second season.

10:38 p.m. - ACU 38, West Ga. 24 Final

You best believe Keith Patterson and the ACU coaching staff will use that last TD drive by UGA as a teaching point next week. Still, a good win and another solid performance from the Wildcats this year.

With that, we are down to four games remaining in Week 2. Three of them, Sul Ross, UTPB, TxWes, are in the second half and Commerce is at halftime.

10:49 p.m. - TxWes 28, OUAZ 10

The Rams defense gets a stop and the offense drives 60 yards in eight plays for a TD.

10:58 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 29, UTPB 16 1:29 3rd

The Falcons find the end zone for the first time since their opening drive of the game. UTPB doesn't have much room for error but they do have enough time if they execute.

11:00 p.m. - No. 18 UC Davis 15, TAMU-Commerce 0 11:48 3rd

The Lions go three and out on offense and the Aggies march down the field for their first TD in five red zone attempts tonight.

11:03 p.m. - Eastern New Mexico 36, Sul Ross 17 Final

The Greyhounds pull away late after wearing down the Lobos defense, but this SRSU team should be competitive in every game this year as long as they remain healthy.

11:05 p.m. - UC Davis 22, TAMU-Commerce 0 11:34 3rd

The Lions defense is putting eight in the box and the Aggies are taking full advantage with their passing attack in the second half.

11:06 p.m. - TxWes 28, OUAZ 13 End 3rd

The Rams have the ball and are 15 minutes away from another big victory in coach Brad Sherrod's second game as head coach.

11:08 p.m. - Blinn 45, TWA College 0 Final

The Buccaneers win their season opener and have two weeks to prepare for their next contest at New Mexico Military Institute.

11:09 p.m. - Coffeyville 37, Cisco 19 Final

Coffeyville jumped out to an 18-point lead in the first quarter and maintained the lead throughout. The Wranglers have two weeks before they host Trinity Valley to open their SWJCFC schedule.

11:19 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 37, UTPB 16 9:19 4th

The Falcons defense was unable to get off the field and the Thunderwolves added the two-point conversion for a three TD lead.

11:21 p.m. - TxWes 28, OUAZ 20 10:22 4th

The Spirit break off a 42-yard TD run to close within one score of the Rams. OUAZ is never a team that goes away easy with Mike Nesbitt at head coach.

11:25 p.m. - TxWes 35, OUAZ 20 8:35 4th

Just like that, the Rams are back up by two scores after Ernest Ceasar runs for a 55-yard TD.

11:33 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 37, UTPB 23 5:07 4th

The Thunderwolves have been hit with 20 penalties in the contest and another personal foul on fourth down allowed UTPB another chance to score from the one-yard line. This might be onside kick time.

11:35 p.m. - TxWes 35, OUAZ 26 6:30 4th

The Spirit find the end zone but miss the PAT to keep the deficit at two scores.

Meanwhile in Pueblo, UTPB's onside kick attempt was unsuccessful.

11:39 p.m. - UC Davis 22, TAMU-Commerce 7 End 3rd

The Lions get on the board with a 32-yard TD pass from Ron Pearce to Devin Matthews. Commerce opens the fourth quarter threatening to close the gap further inside the Aggies red zone.

11:52 p.m. - CSU-Pueblo 40, No. 21 UTPB 23 Final

The Falcons were dominated along the line of scrimmage with the offensive line struggling in pass protection, allowing three sacks, while the defense line had a difficult time stopping the run, allowing 6.4 yards per attempt. UTPB hosts Adams State next week.

11:55 p.m. - TxWes 35, No. 16 OUAZ 33 Final

Remember that missed PAT earlier? Well, that proved critical in the Rams earning back-to-back wins against ranked opponents to open the Brad Sherrod era. This win gives the Rams a key victory in the Sooner Athletic Conference against one of the preseason favorites.

11:58 p.m. - With that, we're down to one game remaining. In that game, UC Davis just added another TD to take a 29-7 lead over Texas A&M-Commerce with 8:55 remaining in regulation.

12:04 a.m. - UC Davis 29, TAMU-Commerce 14 7:36 4th

EJ Oakman with a 61-yard TD reception from Ron Peace for the Lions. Oakman is a walk-on who was given a partial scholarship after the Lions game last week. Clint Dolezel spoke earlier this week about how much the team respects Oakman.

12:16 a.m. - UC Davis 29, TAMU-Commerce 22 5:03 4th

The Lions are within one score of the No. 18 team in the country after another TD pass from Ron Peace! Clint Dolezel made an interesting choice down by going for the two-point conversion down nine points instead of kicking the PAT and remaining one score down. The gamble worked. If something crazy happens and the Lions have a chance to tie or win, will Dolezel go for the victory? I hope we find out.

12:23 a.m. - The Commerce defense gets a stop and will get the ball back after the two-minute timeout! Let's go Lions!

12:26 a.m. - The Lions start 76 yards away from the end zone.

12:28 a.m. - The Lions benefit from a defensive pass interference call and are across midfield with 59 seconds left.

12:30 a.m. - No. 18 UC Davis 36, TAMU-Commerce 22 0:46 4th

The Aggies defense with a pick-6 to seal the win for the Aggies. Tough way to lose for the Lions, but I can't overstate enough how much better this team is this year compared to last year. UC Davis beat the Lions 48-10 last year and it felt like they were being kind.

12:35 a.m. - The game has gone final, which will end our coverage of Week 2 of the non-FBS season after 13 hours, 35 minutes, and over 5,100 words. Thank you to those following along. Look for Four Downs on Monday and have a great weekend!
