Dave Campbell's Texas Football has confirmed that four-star defensive end/linebacker Max Granville (6'3, 225) is foregoing his senior of high school football and enrolling early at Penn State.

Granville, who meets the NCAA's Early Academic Qualifier standards, has officially signed with Penn State and will start classes this fall in Happy Valley after graduating high school this summer. He

Granville committed to Penn State over offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and USC on June 24.

"The scheme fit is great for my skill set," Granville said regarding his commitment to PSU. "They let their guys get after it on the edge. You see how they have done in the draft in recent years with Chop (Robinson), Adisa Isaac, and Micah Parsons."

Ranked as the No. 2 defensive end in the 2025 DCTF Rising Hot 100, Granville has excelled as a two-year starter at Fort Bend Christian Academy, amassing 160 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, and 32.5 sacks. He earned a spot on the 2024 Preseason DCTF Super Team, honoring Texas' top high school players since 1960.
