North Crowley 2025 QB Chris Jimerson Jr. (5'11, 175) has committed to North Texas over Texas State, Louisiana and Arkansas State offers.

Initially committed to TCU as an ATH, Jimerson opted to reopen his recruitment when UNT gave him the opportunity to stay at quarterback—a position where he has excelled against top-tier Texas high school competition.

The DCTF three-star accumulated over 4,000 yards of total offense and scored 52 touchdowns, earning him the 3-6A District MVP title as a junior in 2023.

The relationships Jimerson built with North Texas quarterback coach Sean Brophy, Offensive Coordinator Jordan Davis, and Head Coach Eric Morris were crucial to his decision. He's also eager to reconnect with 2024 UNT signee WR Mason Ferguson, his top deep-ball target last season.

Jimerson envisions thriving in UNT's offensive scheme, which has proven successful for quarterbacks of his size and style.

Reflecting on Chandler Rogers' success last season and Chandler Morris' potential this season, Jimerson believes he can follow a similar path to success in Denton.

"I can really just see myself fitting into their offense, and they have had success with quarterbacks my size come through their program," he said.

Jimerson's commitment to North Texas is significant because he is a dynamic and versatile player. As a leader at North Crowley, a recruiting powerhouse in the DFW metroplex, his ties could further help UNT's foothold.
