Oklahoma was out of the gate strong.

Texas made waves on visits to Austin.

Texas A&M just landed his teammate Markel Ford and the Aggies made a compelling NIL pitch.

But at the end of the day, Missouri was the school where Mesquite Horn OT Lamont Rogers (6'7, 305) felt the most comfortable, and that played a huge role in his decision to commit to the Tigers.

Mesquite Horn Head Coach Courtney Allen believes Mizzou locked up a potential left tackle with a high developmental upside.

"First, you have to look at his wingspan and length," Coach Allen said. "It's crazy. He has a seven-foot wingspan already. He is a basketball player, so he has nimble feet. I have never seen a guy at that size get to the second level so quickly and actually break down because he has been boxing out and playing basketball, so that has helped him out a lot."

"And he's mean, so he mixes his athleticism with being tough."

"I still think he has a ways to go and will get even better," Allen continued. "Those are the things that intrigue people because they know he is not a finished product, and he has an opportunity to get better."

Rogers is rated as the No. 15 prospect in the DCTF Rising 2025 Hot 100
