San Angelo TLC has a new head football coach as former Austin College offensive coordinator Bradley Oh on Tuesday was named the head football coach for the Eagles replacing Jonah Masters who recently departed to become an assistant at Center Point.
Coach Oh, a native of Coppell played collegiately at Austin College where he was a two-time team captain and a Division III All-America his senior season in 2014. He has nine years of experience coaching at the college level.
Oh spent 2023 as the offensive coordinator at Austin College in Sherman, he’s also spent time as a graduate assistant at Northwestern State, he joined the staff at McMurry full-time in 2017, he spent one season at Butler Community College in Kansas, two seasons as the offensive coordinator at Highland Community College in Kansas and a season as the offensive line coach at Central State University.
The new TLCA head coach makes his first foray into Texas High School Football, but he’s familiar with the lay of the land having recruited in state for years and his older brother Allen Oh has head coaching experience as he spent two seasons as Krum’s head coach.
“I’m so excited, it’s been a whirlwind for me, I came here to TLCA in May to be the offensive coordinator and a month later I am promoted to head coach. I’m just really excited to get started. The key now is implementing my culture and the standards we want the kids to rise to, but so far I’m happy with the progress we’ve made,” said Oh.
Coach Oh will look to bring some stability to TLCA as the Eagles have now had three head coaches since the start of the 2023 season after Paulo Gonzales was reassigned after two games in 2023 and Masters took over and finished out the remainder of the season.
