Duncanville 2025 QB Keelon Russell (6'3, 175) was named the MVP of the Elite 11 Finals.
"Thank you, Elite 11, for this chance, It's really nice to spin it vs the top dudes in the country. Also want to say thank you to everyone for showing love. This process is just the beginning; we are headed for plenty more down the road," Russell posted on social media following his MVP win.
Russell's performance at the Elite 11, an annual showcase featuring the nation's top-ranked high school quarterbacks, places him in elite company.
He is the third Texas high school football prospect in four years to earn this distinction, joining previous winners Jackson Arnold and Cade Klubnik. Former MVPs also include NFL stars like CJ Stround, Caleb Williams and Tua Tagovailoa.
In December, Russell led Duncanville to its second consecutive 6A Division I state title. This season, he threw for 3,483 yards and 38 touchdowns, showcasing his arm strength and accuracy (71% completion rate).
His exceptional play and offseason development has catapulted him to the top of the recruiting rankings, earning him consensus recognition as the No. 1-ranked quarterback in Texas.
