Lago Vista 2025 CB Swayde Griffin (6'2, 180) has offers from Texas Tech, Arizona State and Minnesota.
"It means a lot for me," Griffin said of the D1 attention. "I am hopeful to have a future in the NFL.
Griffin is receiving interest from a couple more in-state P4 programs, but he is feeling the Red Raiders because they were the first to offer and have forged a strong relationship.
"Baylor and Texas have been looking at me a lot, but I am really focusing on Texas Tech right now," Griffin said. "Texas Tech was the first offer. It was a dream come true. I was extremely excited and overcome with happiness."
Griffin took us back to the day that Tech offered him almost one year ago.
"I had no idea they were coming down," Griffin recalled. "They just showed up one day. I thought they were going to recruit me for track, honestly, but then they gave me the offer, and that was great.
Once I went back home, I told my parents, and it was a nice experience for sure."
Griffin will take an official visit to Texas Tech June 7-9. Will the Red Raiders secure his commitment?
Griffin was named Honorable Mention for the 247Sports All-Combine Team for the 2024 National Combine.
