Texas receiver Xavier Worthy was drafted 28th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was the second Texas Longhorn drafted, following Byron Murphy II to the Seattle Seahawks.
Worthy burst onto the scene as a freshman during Steve Sarkisian’s first season in Austin when he tallied 981 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a junior this past season, he led the Longhorns with 1,014 yards and five touchdowns.
Worthy is third all-time in receiving touchdowns in Texas Football history and ranks fourth all-time in career receiving yards (2,755 yards). He was named a second-team All-American as a punt returner in 2023 as well. He joins Texas Tech product and three-time Superbowl champion Patrick Mahomes.
