Big 12 Media Days will be held July 9-10 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, multiple sources tell Dave Campbell’s.
It was reported in December that Brett Yormark’s new-look league would move media days to Las Vegas from AT&T Stadium in Arlington in 2024 and 2025 due to scheduling conflicts.
The 2024 event will be the first without Texas and Oklahoma for the Big 12. It’ll also be the first time new members Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah join legacy teams at an event. Houston, UCF, Cincinnati, and BYU joined the conference ahead of the 2023 season.
The State of Texas is represented in the Big 12 by four schools despite the loss of Texas to the SEC. Texas Tech had the best finish in 2023 with a 7-6 record overall. The 5-4 record in the Big 12 was the second time the Red Raiders finished above .500 in conference play under Joey McGuire. TCU was 5-7 overall and 3-6 in the Big 12 a year after reaching the national championship game. Houston went 4-8 with a 2-7 mark in its first season as a Power Five program. Baylor finished the year 3-9 overall and 2-7 in Big 12 play.
