Texas A&M junior linebacker Edgerrin Cooper announced Tuesday he'll declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Cooper was the heart and soul of a Texas A&M unit that finished ninth in the country in total defense. A semifinalist for the Bednarik Award given annually to college football's best defensive player, Cooper racked up 84 tackles, 17 of which went for a loss, and eight sacks. He was named AP First Team All-American and first-team linebacker for DCTF's All-Texas team.
Cooper is currently projected as a second-to-third round Draft pick with a chance to slide into Round 1 if he tests well at the NFL Scouting Combine.
