Mount Vernon LB Boone Morris (6'2, 225) flipped his commitment from UTSA to Kansas State following an official visit to Manhattan for the Wildcats' 41-3 win over TCU.

"I have been praying for discernment on where the Lord has prepared for me, and in so many ways, it has been made clear to me that K-State is the right fit for me and my family," Morris said. "Great people, great coaches, and great culture!"

Morris picked up an offer from the defending Big 12 champs after a strong start to his senior campaign, ranking as one of the state's top tacklers.

Morris committed to UTSA on July 1, and the decision to flip was a difficult one because of the relationship he developed with the UTSA coaching staff.

"I have nothing but respect for the staff at UTSA and everyone involved with the program, and I wish them great success," Morris explained.
