Early reports suggest that Tyler Shough’s season may be over.

Texas Tech’s senior quarterback broke his fibula today in the Red Raiders’ Big 12-opener at West Virginia, according to multiple reports. Jordan Schultz was the first to report. He was carted off the field in the first quarter. Behren Morton finished the game.

Bruce Feldman reports that he’ll require surgery.

The injury would be Shough’s second season-ending injury since coming to Lubbock. He missed six games last year after injuring his shoulder in the season-opener. He has 743 yards passing and seven touchdowns this year.
