In the world of cord-cutting and streaming, it's difficult to know where you can watch your favorite Texas football team on Saturday. Here's a Texas-centric TV Guide, and watchability ranking, so you can spend less time finding that gosh-darned channel and more time watching football.

1. SMU vs. TCU (11 a.m., FS1)

There's only three more guaranteed Iron Skillet matchups we get before the rivalry goes on hiatus after the 2025 season. The shame about it is, both teams are starting to get really good. Pick any storyline you want: TCU head coach Sonny Dykes coaching against his former offensive coordinator, Rhett Lashlee, and the SMU team he coached 2018-21. Or how about TCU quarterback Chandler Morris facing an SMU team his father, Chad, coached from 2015-17? TCU proved they're contenders in the Big 12 with a commanding 36-13 win over Houston, and SMU's defense is much-improved this season. This should be a fun one.

My Prediction: TCU 27, SMU 24. TCU makes a comeback after trailing most of the game.

2. Texas A&M vs. Auburn (11 a.m., ESPN)

The Texas A&M offense has looked surgical under offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, averaging 44 points a game. Quarterback Conner Weigman will be challenged this week against an Auburn team that ranks first in the SEC allowing just 155 passing yards per game. The real question: can DJ Durkin's defense can step up after failing its first big test of the season against Miami? Auburn's got two quarterbacks in Michigan State transfer Payton Thorne and Robby Ashford that can run, but Texas A&M's front seven has looked much improved so far this season. Throw in the fact two of the most polarizing offensive coaches, Petrino and Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze, are on opposite sidelines, and this one has a chance to get weird (on the field, that is).

My Predition: Texas A&M 38, Auburn 20. Conner Weigman proves he's the truth and Auburn gets a lame TD at the end to make it look closer

3. Baylor vs. No. 3 Texas (6:30 p.m., ABC)

Add the Baylor-Texas game into the list of intrastate rivalries set to die at the conclusion of this season. McLane Stadium is sold out in hopes of sending the Longhorns to the SEC with a loss. Baylor's gotten off to a rough start with its only win coming in a lackluster performance against Long Island. If they're to topple Texas with backup quarterback Sawyer Robertson at the helm, they'll need to lean on a running back room chock-full of Texas high school football legends. Texas, on the hand, is looking to bounce back from a too-close-for-comfort game against Wyoming.

My Prediction: Texas 34, Baylor 14. Texas plays angry to open up Big 12 slate.

4. Texas Tech at West Virginia (2:30 p.m., Big 12 Network/ESPN+)

Texas Tech got in the win column with a 41-3 thrashing of Tarleton, but they need to add a quality win against a Big 12 opponent to build some real momentum. Running back Tahj Brooks got going last week and now has 263 yards on 7.3 yards per carry, and he should help the Red Raiders maintain ball control against a West Virginia team who will likely be without starting quarterback Garrett Greene. Tyler Shough needs to stack another zero-turnover game and take care of business against the Big 12's last-place team in the preseason poll.

My Prediction: Texas Tech 31, West Virginia 14. WVU is bad and probably doesn't have its QB.

5. Rice at South Florida (3 p.m., ESPNU)

Look what happens when you give Mike Bloomgren a five-star quarterback! JT Daniels has tossed for 656 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception in his last two games as Rice has lit up the scoreboard, averaging 51 points a game. He'll take on a USF defense Saturday that's riding high off holding Alabama to 17 points. This will be Rice's first true road test.

My Prediction: USF 24, Rice 21. The JT Daniels hype train takes a brief stop for maintenence before rolling again.

6. Sam Houston at Houston (6 p.m., Big 12 Network/ESPN+)

If you like a defensive slugfest, boy do I have a matchup for you. In their first two games in the FBS, Sam Houston has 262 total yards, their top two running backs are averaging 2 and 2.5 yards per carry, and the offense is avergaing 1.5 points per game. But the defense has resembled the 2000s Baltimore Ravens, holding BYU to 14 points and Air Force to 13. They don't face a juggernaut of an offense in Houston, reeling off back-to-back losses to Rice and TCU.

My Prediction: Houston 10, Sam Houston 3. Both these teams will need to sit in an ice bath for two days after this one.

7. Texas State vs. Nevada (6 p.m., ESPN+)

GJ Kinne has Texas State flying high on offense, see their 56 points in the first half against Jackson State, and energizing the fan base. The Bobcats have two quarterbacks more than capable of lighting up the scoreboard in TJ Finley and Malik Hornsby, and a team loaded with high-impact transfers. This could be a fun season in San Marcos, so buckle up.

My Prediction: Texas State 45, Nevada 28. Kinne keeps taking back Texas

8. UTSA at Tennessee (3 p.m., SEC Network)

Tennessee is pretty angry coming into this one, they literally tried to box Florida players after getting trounced in the Swamp. UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor is most likely going to hold out quarterback Frank Harris and let him get some extra rest ahead of the bye week, which UTSA will need desperately after most likely falling to 1–3. If they can hit the reset button, they have a nice ramp-up in American Athletic Conference play to get back on track.

My Prediction: Tennessee 41, UTSA 14. Get out of this one healthy, UTSA.

9. UTEP vs. UNLV (8 p.m., ESPN+)

It's getting late early in El Paso. At 1–3, UTEP has averaged a measly 14.75 points per game and has committed 28 penalties. Considering they have a sixth-year quarterback in Gavin Hardison and returned Tyrin Smith and Kelly Akharaiyi, it's been a little disappointing. If they lose this one to UNLV, it could get dicey the rest of the year.

My Prediction: UNLV 21, UTEP 17. UTEP falls in a game they need bad.
