The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Texas Tech commit was named to the 2A DCTF Preseason All-State Team. Last year, Williams led the Bearcats to a 10-2 record, rushing for 1,664 yards and 27 touchdowns and collecting 27 receptions for 718 yards and 11 TDs. Williams is the No. 54 prospect in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100.
Top Underclassman: 2026 ATH Ryelan Morris (Honey Grove)
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete is already receiving abundant recruiting attention and has secured early offers from North Texas, SMU, Texas Tech, Michigan State and UNLV. Morris had a breakout freshman season, earning District Offensive Player of the Year honors and racking up over 2,000 yards and scoring 27 touchdowns.
MVP: 2024 ATH Terry Bussey (Timpson)
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder was selected as Mr. Texas Football following a dominant showing in 2022. The No. 5 prospect in the state accounted for 4,773 yards of total offense and 80 total touchdowns throughout the season, guiding Timpson to the 2A Division I state semifinals. Bussey is set to announce his commitment on Sept. 28 between Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma.
