Jasper is a program on the rise in Southeast Texas under the watchful eye of head coach Kendrick Crumedy. 

The Class of 2024 features Texas A&M commit ILB Ty'Anthony Smith and WR Britain Simmons, who have racked up over 30 scholarship offers between them.

2025 TE Kiotti Armstrong (6'5, 245) was recently named a DCTF four-star prospect. 

Armstrong has already secured 16 scholarship offers, including Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon and more. 

The newly minted four-star played on both sides of the football (TE/DE) for the Bulldogs as a sophomore in 2022 and was named the District Defensive Player of the Year in basketball. 

While he possesses a high level of athleticism and could realistically play on the defensive side of the ball in college, Armstrong has been mainly targeted as a tight end, where he patterns his game after Travis Kelce.

"We got a tight end who is getting better every day and he is developing some confidence catching the ball in the middle of the field," Coach Crumedy said about Armstrong's development.

"Better chemistry and the game slowed down for my sophomore year to now," Armstrong echoed.

On the recruiting front, Armstrong is a long way from making a decision but is starting to build close relationships with programs like Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.

Texas A&M - "It feels like home when I’m up there, and it’s not that far from home." 

Texas - "It’s another school that’s close to home and my favorite receiver Johntay Cook just went there."

Oklahoma - "They keep in contact with me and make sure I’m doing okay. They are always reaching out." 

At the end of the day, Armstrong is going to be looking for a program that fits him on and off the field.

"Culture," Armstrong said when asked what he is looking for in a college. "The way the other players (on the team) view the school while they are there. And how much do you show me that you want me there."
