Prospect on the Rise

Huntsville 2024 CB Isaiah Collins (6'3, 185) committed to Texas Tech over offers from Baylor, Houston, Oregon State and Utah.  

Collins collected 49 tackles and five PBUs as a junior in 2022. 

The Red Raiders also secured commitments from Pflugerville Weiss S Peyton Morgan, El Campo ATH Oliver Miles, and Pearland S Ashton Hampton this week. 

Commit of the Week

Silsbee 2024 WR Dre'lon Miller (6'0, 200) committed to Texas A&M over LSU and USC offers. 

Miller is rated as a DCTF five-star prospect, checking in at No. 3 in the state. 

Scouting Report:  A versatile and highly skilled athlete with offers in basketball and track. Miller excels as a fade route runner and catcher, dominating 50/50 balls with his length and impressive leaping ability. He can turn short passes into explosive plays, showcasing elusive moves and bursts of speed. With a top-end speed of around 4.5, he also plays as a running back to maximize his impact. Miller is a dynamic wide receiver with immense potential, drawing a comparison to Deebo Samuel.

Texas A&M also secured a commitment from Jasper ILB Ty'Anthony Smith. 

Underclassman of the Week

Just over a week ago, Pflugerville Weiss WR Adrian Wilson (6'2, 175) committed to TCU over offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oregon. 

Wilson is rated as a DCTF four-star prospect, checking in at No. 22 in the state.

Scouting Report: The prototype outside receiver, Wilson, is good at vertically stretching the field and making plays in the deep passing game. He shows tremendous hands and concentration, high-pointing the ball and plucking it over the top of defensive backs. 

Recruit of the Week

Richland 2024 OC Daniel Cruz (6'4, 295) has committed to Texas over Oklahoma, Ohio State and Texas A&M offers. 

Cruz is rated as the No. 1 OC prospect in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100, checking in as the No. 27 prospect overall in the state. 

Scouting Report: Cruz will be a four-year varsity starter and enter college with many game reps under his belt. He exhibits remarkable strength in the weight room, effortlessly squatting over 500 pounds. As a prototype interior lineman, he possesses the ability to smoothly execute pulls and adeptly handles situations at the second level, effectively securing blocks against smaller and quicker defenders.

Texas also secured in-state commitments from Lovejoy WR Parker Livingstone and Langham Creek TE Jordan Washington.
