Eaton 2024 QB Noah Lugo (6'2, 180) committed to UTSA over 16 other scholarship offers, including Indiana, North Texas, Tulsa and Tulane.

"Coach (Jeff) Traylor, coach Sean Davis, coach (Justin) Burke -- it just felt like a family environment," Lugo said. "I felt like they were going to be able to push me to the next level, as they are doing with their current quarterback, so I just feel like they are a success and will win the American (conference). It is going to be pretty sweet. I can't wait."

Lugo enjoyed an official visit to San Antonio this weekend and committed while in town.

"It was a really cool time," Lugo said. "I enjoyed seeing Engineering, and I enjoyed seeing the football facilities. I enjoyed seeing everything, and I even got to play with some fire (in his recruiting visit photo)."

Lugo felt a good bond with UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor.

"He is definitely a person I could talk to all day," Lugo said. "He has a million stories, and they are great stories. It is great to learn wisdom from somebody in the game who has done it for so long."

Lugo completed 131 of 250 passes for 1,612 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for 962 yards and 14 scores as a junior in 2022.

Lugo is rated as the No. 9 QB in the 2024 DCTF Prospect Rankings
