Former Texas A&M letterwinner and current defensive line coach Terry Price passed away on June 23, 2023, sources confirmed to DCTF. Price (55) was a Georgia native who played high school football in Plano, was a defensive lineman at Texas A&M from 1986 to 1989. He played for Jackie Sherrill and R.C. Slocum, helping the Aggies go 34-14 in his time. Price led the defensive line in tackles as a junior and a senior.

Price was drafted in the 10th round of the 1990 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears. He played for two seasons before returning to College Station where he graduated in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He made stops at Ole Miss, Auburn, and Texas Tech before returning to Texas A&M to lead the defensive line group in 2012. He’s coached stars such as Myles Garrett and Damontre Moore during his tenure.

Outside of the football field, Price was known as a great recruiter and an even better pitmaster. Maybe the latter helped with the former. The Aggies routinely sign elite recruiting classes, and the defensive line usually leads the way. He’s helped Texas A&M sign top 100 prospects such as Shemar Turner, Shemar Stewart, and LT Overton in the last couple of cycles.
