West Rusk head coach Nick Harrison will not return to the Raiders sidelines in 2023 after four incredibly successful seasons in which he posted an overall record of 37-12.
Harrison told Dave Campbell's Texas Football he would be joining the coaching staff at Bullard Brook Hill.
Harrison was on staff at West Rusk as the offensive coordinator before he was promoted to head coach in 2019 at the age of just 29. The Troup native was John Frazier’s offensive coordinator at West Rusk. Coach Frazier coached Harrison in high school at Troup.
Harrison led West Rusk to the playoffs in all four of his seasons and the last two years West Rusk has posted an impressive 23-4 overall record, advancing to the Class 3A-Division II regional semifinals in back-to-back seasons.
The job is currently posted on the West Rusk County Consolidated ISD website, but Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has been unable to confirm any additional details on the posting from Coach Harrison or anyone with the district at this time.
