Sachse 2024 DE Cheta Ofili (6'4, 215) just announced his commitment to Texas Tech over offers from California, North Texas, SMU, Tulane and Vanderbilt.

Sachse head coach Red Behrens has coached an abundance of talent in his years leading the Mustangs program and he feels like the Red Raiders are getting a player with a high upside as a pure pass rusher.

"He's a speed guy," Behrens said. "He can really run. He can really get around the corner, bend the edge, and cause some havoc on the QBs."

Behrens is also high on what Joey McGuire is building at Texas Tech and feels comfortable with his players in Lubbock.

"They are good guys who relate to the (Texas high school) coaches and kids," Behrens said. "You saw how quickly they turned that thing around."

Ofili checks in as the No. 96 prospect in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100, and is the No. 8-rated DE in Texas.
