Plano ISD on Tuesday night announced the hiring of former Denison and Brentwood (TN) Academy head coach Cody White to the position of head football coach at Plano Senior High School

Coach White replaces Todd Ford who resigned shortly after the end of the 2022 season to pursue a career outside of education.

Coach White has spent the last eleven seasons at the private school powerhouse just outside of Nashville where he compiled an impressive 103-27 record and led his team to four straight state championships from 2015-17. Brentwood Academy also had four other Tennessee state semifinal appearances during White’s impressive tenure. He resigned his post in late November citing a move back to his home state of Texas as the primary reason for the resignation.

White has plenty of head coaching experience in Texas as well, posting a 34-24 record in five seasons leading Denison from 2007-2011, he led the Yellow Jackets to a regional final appearance in 2008 and a state semifinal run in 2009. White was a long- time staffer at Denison under Bob Brown.

“We are excited to be back home in Texas and we are excited to get started at a place with the kind of tradition Plano Senior High has,” Coach White told Dave Campbell’s Texas Football on Tuesday night.
