Sources tell DCTF that UTSA is set to round out its on-field coaching staff by adding Jarrett Anderson as assistant offensive line coach and Sean Davis as quarterback coach. Anderson spent over 20 seasons at TCU, joining the staff as a graduate assistant in 1998 and working his way up into multiple assistant roles. Davis has worked with the Roadrunners as an offensive analyst.

The quarterback job was opened when Will Stein went to Oregon to take the offensive coordinator job. Justin Burke, who also coaches tight ends, will take over as offensive coordinator for the Roadrunners. Davis will coach quarterbacks and continues head coach Jeff Traylor’s tradition of hiring from within. Of the six coaches he’s lost in the last three years, he’s hired four from within.

Anderson joins Kurt Traylor as assistant offensive line coaches. The position opened when Matt Mattox left for a job at Purdue. Anderson has also coached inside receivers and tight ends during his career. He was the co-offensive coordinator at TCU from 2001 to 2008.
