Cypress Ranch 2023 DE Ashton Porter (6'3, 245) has signed a Letter of Intent to play for Oregon, announcing his decision at halftime of the Under Armour All-America Game.

The one-time Northwestern verbal commitment picked the Ducks over Michigan State.

He took an official visit to Oregon in December and was impressed by the community, the coaches, and the game-day environment. He enjoyed spending time with the coaching staff and other recruits and was impressed by the program's scheme and track record of developing NFL players.

The DCTF four-star also appreciated the support of the Oregon fans, who chanted his name and encouraged him to join the team during his official visit.

Porter is rated as the No. 46 prospect in the 2023 DCTF Hot 100, checking in as the No. 6 DE in Texas.

Porter is a highly talented athlete who excels in both football and track and field. He has posted impressive shot put numbers (35-6), discus throw (116-4), and ran a 23.31 200-meter dash. Porter had a standout senior season on the football field, finishing with 63 tackles, 24 TFL, and 15 sacks.
