Winnsboro (7-0, 3-0) at Pottsboro (5-1, 2-0):

Fresh off a huge rivalry win over Mount Vernon last week, Winnsboro gets an equally tough test this week as they head out on the road to take on a much-improved Pottsboro squad that’s quietly off to a 5-1 start.

WHS in a battle of state ranked teams saw their defense shine in their 28-14 win over Mount Vernon a week ago. The Red Raider pitched a shutout in the second half of the win last week and QB Kyler Finney made the plays down the stretch to push Winnsboro to the win.

Pottsboro rolled past Bonham 55-14 a week ago as Halen Flanagan threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns and he added 63 yards and a touchdown on the ground to pace the Cardinals in the win.

Expect a high-scoring game between these two, but Winnsboro has the pace and look of a team of destiny in 2022.
