Canutillo (2-1) at El Paso Del Valle (2-1)

It’s a 5A showdown in the Sun City as Canutillo, one of the best in 5A-Division II, heads across town to take on Del Valle, one of the best teams in 5A-Division I in the El Paso area.

After their season opening loss to El Paso Pebble Hills, Canutillo has played well the last two weeks. The Eagles last week rolled past El Paso Austin 35-0 as Stanford RB commit LJ Martin again led the way with three touchdowns.

Del Valle bounced back from a Week 2 loss to Pebble Hills and dominated El Paso Andress 44-13.

These two teams on paper appear to be very similar with one major exception, Canutillo has that guy in LJ Martin and he’s the difference in this one.

Stepp’s Pick: Canutillo by 8
