The conclusion of a sensational Saturday tripleheader in the Alamodome should be a great way to close out the weekend as Brennan, fresh off a 13-1 season, takes on a Steele squad that many in the Alamo City believe is poised for a breakout 2022 season.
Brennan is led by a boatload of three-year starters headlined by QB Ashton Dubose, who is back after accounting for an incredible 68 touchdowns as a junior. DB Tyler Turner, an Oregon commit, headlines a veteran Bears defense that is known around the 210 for their physical style of play.
Steele is flush with playmakers as well on the offensive side of the ball with QB Connor Vincent and RB Jaydon Bailey returning along with LB Makai Williams to lead the Knights young defense.
Brennan’s a more well-rounded team on both sides of the ball and just a bit more dynamic, especially on offense. The Knights keep it close, but Brennan gets a big win to open the year and stake their claim as the top team in the Alamo City at least early in the season.
