Lake Travis makes the trip up to the DFW area to open the season on Thursday night at Choctaw Stadium. They’ve won two of the last three season opening meetings against the Arlington Martin Warriors.

QB Bo Edmundson, a Michigan State commit, is the latest in a long line of FBS QB’s from Lake Travis and will lead the Cavaliers spread offense that will feature a ton of new faces.

Expect LTHS to rely heavily on a defense that returns seven starters, while the young skill talent grows into their roles at the varsity level.

Martin has a trio of highly recruited playmakers in ATH Javien Toviano, RB Sergo Snider and ATH Zaire Barrow; all three can move around, play multiple positions and are perfect fits in Martin’s unique scheme.

The key for the Warriors will be how their young defensive line matures. If the Warriors can control things up front and put pressure on Edmundson, they could be primed to pull off the mild upset at home.
