Sachse 2022 QB Alex Orji (6'2, 205) holds double-digit 10 Division I offers.
Offers have come in from Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Arkansas, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kansas, Houston, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech.
Orji and his parents are taking a hard look at all of the colleges that have offered, and no favorites have yet emerged.
"I don't have any favorites. Everyone is on the table, and I pretty much stay in touch with all of the coaches," Orji said.
Orji has made unofficial visits to the campuses at Baylor and Oklahoma.
"I was at Baylor before the new coaching staff came in, and the Oklahoma visit showed me great hospitality," Orji explained. "Coach Lincoln Riley has been seeing how I have been doing, and the coaches there seem interested."
"I definitely want to visit the schools that have offered me that I've not seen before."
Additionally, coaches from Colorado and Mississippi State have been in contact with Orji.
He looks forward to making some visits as soon as possible to get a closer look at these programs.
The top signal-caller said that his playmaking abilities and mobility are what impress the coaches the most.
"Lots of coaches like what I bring to the game," Orji said. "I'm an improviser on the football field and an all-around playmaker. I feel like every play my coach calls should be a positive play."
As a junior in 2020, Orji passed for 1,647 yards, rushed for 980 yards, and scored 27 touchdowns.
